Bernice's Long Island Iced Tee Knitting Class

Knit a summer tee with Bernice!  The Long Island Iced Tee pattern is new and very popular!  Sample is knit by Bernice in our Poppy Merlinen yarn.

If you've ever wanted to knit a t-shirt, now is the time!

Learn the basics of sweater knitting with this top down pullover that looks great on everyone! We can adjust the length of body and sleeves to your preference.

Dates: Tuesday evenings: 6:30- 8:30. June 9th, June 23rd, July 7th, and July 21st

Skills required: knitting and purling This class is suitable for an advanced beginner. (not a learn to knit class)

Skills covered: Yarn choice, Swatching for gauge, putting stitches on hold, picking up for sleeves, short rows, knitting in the round, lace, and textured stitches. You will learn an Italian bind off too!

Supplies needed: Yarn must be purchased at PDC before the night of the first class.  Yarn is not included in the cost of the class, but the pattern is. You can email Shelley @ polkadotcreekyarn@gmail.com if you would like a custom sweater quantity dyed for you for 10% off. 

Bernice will be in the store on Thursdays if you would like some help/guidance and or support with that.  This pattern allows for many yarn choices and there are swatches in the store to aid in your decision making! You will also need to bring or buy the needles you need.
